1. Have fun. Bringing your kids along? Start talking about how much fun the photo session is going to be days in advance. Get your little ones excited about it!
2. Be open minded. Especially with kids! Forcing certain poses won’t lead to the photographs you want. Your little ones just not feeling it? That’s alright. We’ll move on to something different.
3. Move it. During an outdoor session with Meghan Mace Photography don’t plan on sitting still for long.
4. Nom, Nom, Nom. Feel free to have snacks for you and your family. All that moving around can make for hungry little ones…and big ones… hungry!
5. Sweets anyone? A little bribery never hurt anyone. I know I would take a few photos for a cookie or two. Feel free to bring a few motivating ‘tools’ for your littles.
6. Plan. Map out the location of the session a few days before the session. Note how long you expect to be driving and make sure there are no detours along the way.
7. Compromise. Fighting with little ones about what they need to wear? Trying layering the outfit. They get to pick the base layer, and you get to pick the outer layer-or the one in most of the photos!
8. Relax. Your photo session will be laid back and your photographer is easy going. If you are relaxed, your family is likely to be the same way.
Can’t wait to have a wonderful session with you!
