Last year you were a little too scared to venture down any slides at the park. You much preferred to climb up the slide. You never made it very far as you would slip after a few steps and have to start all over. Nonetheless, you kept going back to the slide, attempting to climb up after many failed attempts. You never gave up. Your desire to move upwards (and the fact that you were outside at a park) kept you going. Sure, it might have been just a slide and you might have just been having fun. To me, your persistence on the slide was a glimpse at your never ceasing determination. Which I admire so much, even at your young age.
This year, that determination paid off. Well, determination, plus improved motor coordination and a few extra inches in height. You conquered the slide little buddy! Up and down, up and down, up and down. You kept insisting that mommy keep coming up and down the slide with you as well, but your energy far out lasted mommy’s. Besides, I had to pick up my camera to capture your accomplishments…
And of course, you fell asleep on the way home. So, naturally, I needed to take some macro shots of your eye lashes. I mean who wouldn’t do that?
