When your one and a half you really don’t care if your ‘paint smock’ reaches all the way down to your feet. Nor do you care that it looks more like a dress than a paint smock. No, you care more about attempting to get out the front door without your hat on more than anything else. Well, little buddy, you lost the battle this time. The hat is on your head and the long t-shirt is covering your tiny little body. Once you’re actually outside, you forget all about the hat and t-shirt; you’re ready to have some fun. With a little homemade sidewalk paint (which mommy is praying will eventually come off of the driveway since it is only flour, water and food coloring) and some paint brushes, you are good to go. You enjoy painting and stay busy for a while (about 10 minutes, but in toddler time that is about as long as you can sit still). Maybe you’ll eventually take after your auntie Mallory’s art talents. But for now, let’s enjoy the beautiful artwork you’ve created.
