Although I don’t work as an OT in the schools anymore, I still tend to get excited when there is snow on the ground. Only if I don’t have to go anywhere and usually after I complain for a few hours about how I’d rather be living in Florida (truth be told). I figured little buddy would enjoy some adventures in the snow as well. You know, fun stuff that no little kid can turn down. Like snow angels, building snowmen and making giant Big Bird feet with our oversized boots.
This was his response. I feel ya buddy. How many more days until Spring?
We lasted a little longer outside, mostly by staying on the porch. After about 15 minutes, I got his message, loud and clear, we were done. We retreated back inside and had our own (warm) adventures. Such as building an empire, writing to family and friends, and learning to blow our nose and throw the Kleenex away. The later was, of course, a personal favorite of little man. I mean, who doesn’t love that game?
If you had a snow day recently, what did you do? Build a giant fort? Have an epic snowball fight. Bundled up inside and waited for the next 50 degree day, which seems like every other day this winter?
