So I figured out where they got the phrase, ‘cute as a button’. From Baby Lydia. Sure, she may have just been born, and the phrase may have originated in the 1860s, but I think they just knew how cute and little Lydia, at six days new, would be. With such soft and sweet features from her little lips to her adorable baby hair (that definitely has some character), Lydia really is a sweet little peanut that I got to wrap up and snuggle.
